LATEST NEWS!!!! All surgery's over and patients now recuperating at home. Of course both Mel & Rick are already bored, Rick was bored before the surgery, having to stay home!! Mel will probably relieve some of his boredom now the World Cup is on, (for those of you who do not know, this is a big thing for English soccer supporters). OH- OH he already has the T.V. switched to THAT channel!! These two guys have the best muscles in their pointer finger from changing channels.
Well as you all will know I (B) am Mel's wife & nurse (he is not being a very good patient). Rick's mom has come down to help out for Rick. Being a caregiver is a tiring job so we have to remember to take care of ourselves as well as the patient.
I was lucky to have Janet come in on Thurs. the night before Mel's surgery, Janet stayed until Sun. Paul came in on the Sat. and stayed until Weds. Christopher was with us also, when he was not working etc. So the work has begun getting Mel walking around, waiting for the Physical Therapist to come, they are not quite on the ball, no one has called yet, and trying to get someone to answer a phone! well lets not go there!!! Rick's P.T. is coming out Mon. So the patients are being well taken care of, and we hope to have them running around and back to normal pretty soon!!
